BADIAN
ISLAND
Located
97 km (60.3 mi) southwest of Cebu City, this island is famous for
its beautiful coral reefs and white sandy beaches, making it an
excellent diving spot. |

CAMOTES
ISLAND
The
island is located northeast of Cebu province and is composed of
four towns, namely: Poro, San Francisco, Tudela and Pilar. To cross
to the island, one has to go to Danao City, an hour away from Cebu
City or take a fast ferry. There are two boats, which travel to
and from the island everyday. One fast craft travels from Cebu City
twice daily. |

KAWASAN
FALLS
Located
in Badian, Southern Cebu, this magnificent waterfalls used to be

ISLAND
A coral
island, famous for scuba diving and beach resorts of international
standards. It is also the aviation port of entry to Cebu as the
Mactan International Airport (MIA) is located here. It is also the
site of the Mactan Export Processing Zone (MEPZ), with 102 companies,
employing 37,118 people. Land Area: 150 hectares. |

MALAPASCUA
ISLAND
Referred
to as "Logon"-the main community of the south-the island
has white sand beaches and crystal clear waters. The west coast
of the island is ideal for swimming and snorkeling but one should
be careful due to it unpredictable weather. A walking tour around
the whole island can be done within half a day as its land area
measures only 3 km (1.86 mi) long and 1 km (0.62 mi) wide.

MOALBOAL
Located
89 km (55.3 mi) southwest of Cebu City, Moalboal is a diver's paradise.
It offers cheap to moderate room accommodations, white sandy beaches
and excellent corals for scuba diving. |

NONOC
CAVE
Located
in Borbon, 83 km (51.6 mi) north of Cebu City, the cave presents
a very picturesque view and a shelter for picnickers and bathers. |

OLANGO
ISLAND
(Wildlife Sanctuary)
Olango,
an island off the east coast of Mactan, is a 1,022-hectare protected
wetland. It supports the largest concentration of migratory birds
found so far in the country. The birds use Olango as a major refueling
station as well as a wintering ground. At Olango, the birds can
replenish their fat reserves by feeding on rich supply of invertebrates
in the intertidal mudflats.
